About Finz Restaurant
Finz Restaurant is located on the main street of Port Douglas, diagonally opposite the Port Douglas post office. Port Douglas itself is located just 60km north of Cairns International Airport in Tropical North Queensland, Australia.
Since opening in early 2008, Finz has established itself as a locals' and visitors' favourite when it comes to seafood and modern Australian cuisine, through a focus on using only the freshest of locally-sourced produce and seafood wherever possible.
Dining at Finz is a casual and relaxing experience - choose a table inside in comfortable, modern surroundings or go "al fresco" with a table outside at the front of the restaurant, perfect for our balmy tropical climate.
During high season, the restaurant is open 7 days per week from 10am for coffee and light snacks, lunch from midday to 3pm and dinner from 5pm. If you are looking for wireless internet access in Port Douglas, bring your wireless device with you and enjoy complimentary use of our WiFi inside the restaurant, with any purchase.
Finz is locally-owned by long-term residents of Port Douglas and in addition to supporting the local community by purchasing local produce, Finz also actively employs local hospitality professionals in as many positions as possible. Our head chef, restaurant manager and other key positions are all residents of Port Douglas, most of whom have been with Finz since opening.
More Than Just Seafood
We believe that there is something for everyone on the menu at Finz; the freshest of locally-soured seafood as well as superb non-seafood menu items.
Most of the fish at Finz is fresh & line-caught (not frozen or farmed), the fresh oysters are shucked to order and live mud crab is available fresh from the tank. We also have live crayfish from time to time (whenever it is available, its in our tank).
Daily specials and fish of the day are always displayed on our blackboards. Popular species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Nannygai and Barramundi are often available as our fish of the day.
House specialties at Finz include our Grilled Seafood Trio, traditional Spanish Paella, house-made Coconut Laksa, Whole Crispy Reef Fish, Chili Mud crab and our famous Seafood Tier for 2 for the ultimate seafood feast (which currently includes a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc at no additional charge).
And if you have had a successful day fishing on a local charter boat, bring your catch in and we'll prepare it for you.

Finz is open 7 days per week for dinner from 5pm.
Due to limited seating, dinner reservations are highly recommended during winter months and other peak periods such as Easter and the Christmas/New Year period.
You may pay for your meal with cash, Visa, Master card, American Express, Diners or EFTPOS. Finz does not charge a surcharge for using your preferred credit card.

Order a seafood tier for 2 and we'll include a bottle of white wine. Wines change from time to time, currently we're offering a quality New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, representing around $45 in value.
